Vintage Dollhouse Furniture - 1942 Strombecker

This Strombecker #453 bathroom set was made in 1942 and the style is the same as the newly-designed 1938 set except the fixtures are white rather than in the previous all-blue set. The sleeker shapes mimic the design of the Crane Company's "Neuvogue" fixtures as conceived by Henry Dreyfuss. Notice the waterfall type faucet on the sink.

Made of solid wood with glued construction and enameled in white and what Strombecker called 'Delphinium' blue. Includes the tub with metal fixtures, sink, vanity with tin mirror, bench with wire legs, toilet with opening lid, hamper and gold heater. The complete set would have also included a towel rack.
