Beautiful inlaid stone tab choker necklace with sterling silver pearls & melons - 17 1/2"
This is a beautiful older, bench-made, unsigned Native American style choker necklace. It features sterling silver "pearls" and "melon" beads, along with three inlaid triangular tabs of real stone. The beads are soldered and hollow. This piece is in the style of Navajo, Santo Domingo, and Kewa works. The inlay appears to contain onyx (possibly jet), some turquoise, what looks like fossil coral, and what looks like pipestone (catlinite). This is a unique and uncommon design.
