1899 rare Julia Arthur Edition in excellent condition hardcover no dustjacket
A Lady of Quality was first published in 1896, became a best-seller, then had its popularity renewed with a stage production in 1899 starring famous actress Julia Arthur. As the play became popular, International Book & Publishing Co released a special limited "Julia Arthur Edition" of the book.
This copy is in amazing, like-new condition aside from removed sticker on inside of back cover. Tight spine, tight pages, no writing, marks or damage. Interior of cover is browned with age, but pages are still bright creamy white, no age spots. Unknown if this is original cover or if it was rebound, but either way the cover shows little to no wear with embossed rose-like pattern.
